UL Lafayette Chamber Singers & Alexandria Senior High Choirs Joint Concert
The Alexandrians are the premier ensemble in the Alexandria Senior High School Choral Department. The group consists of sophomores through seniors and is rigorously auditioned. The Alexandrians have performed with several collegiate choral programs throughout the state of Louisiana including The University of Louisiana Monroe, Louisiana Tech, Louisiana College, The University of Louisiana-Lafayette and Northwestern State University. The Alexandrians have been consistently awarded Sweepstakes on all large ensemble levels including District and State Festivals. In 2014, the Alexandrians were selected to sing at the Louisiana ACDA Conference in New Orleans, LA. As the touring group of the Alexandria Senior High Choral Department, the group has completed tours through Alabama, Tennessee, and Mississippi, and Florida and will be making their Carnegie Hall debut in April.
The School of Music is located at the southeast corner of the McKinley St. and E. St. Mary Blvd intersection. Parking for evening and weekend events is available in the lot on the northwest corner of this intersection. The entrance to the parking lot is on Girard Park Cir.
