UL Choirs Spring Concert: Music About Music

Saturday, April 8, 2017 - 7:30pm

Join the UL Chorale, Ragin' Cajun Women's Choir, and Chamber Singers for a program unlike any concert you've seen. The program is a group of music that is self-referential (music about itself). During this meta-concert, be prepared to have your notions of what a concert is/should be challenged. There will also be a multi-media display of self-referential art, and poems about poems recited by students.

Program:

  • We're the Choir! (Shaw)
  • Gitanjali Chants (Craig Hella Johnson)
  • Earth Song (Ticheli)
  • There Has To Be A Song (Ramsey)
  • Refuge (Hagenberg)

  • So I'll Sing With My Voice (Argento)
