Mr. Jenkins is the coordinator of State of LA Danse, director of the An Evening of Dance series, and Assistant Professor of Dance at UL Lafayette. He received his BFA in Humanities and Art History and his MFA in Dance from Florida State University. While at FSU, he was coordinator of the Non-Majors Dance Program and taught classes in Ballet, Modern Dance, and Dance Composition. Mr. Jenkins performed with the FSU Dance Touring Theatre and the Dance Repertory Theatre as Guest Artist and Principal Soloist. He has regularly contributed his original choreography to State of LA Danse and has served as Regisseur for all of the modern dance Masterwork reconstructions. In 1996, Mr. Jenkins received an award of Excellence in Choreography from the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts for his choreography in the production of Guernica. Mr. Jenkins has been the recipient of numerous grant awards and commissions.
