Symphonic Winds Auditions & Requirements

Audition Music for Symphonic Winds and Concert Band auditions is now available online and in hard copy form in front of Angelle, Room 165.  Auditions will begin the week of Nov 6.

Breakdown is as follows:

Woodwinds: November 6-10
Brass: November 13-17
Percussion: November 20-22

Signups for audition times will be on Dr. Missal's door (ANG 165) and will be posted by October 30.  Please sign up for a time.  Auditions will last approximately 5 minutes.

Symphonic Winds and Concert Band begins in January.

Audition Music Requirements by Instrument:

•   Flute
•   Oboe
•   Clarinet
•   Bassoon
•   Saxophone
•   Horn
•   Trumpet
•   Trombone
•   Euphonium
•   Tuba
•   Snare Drum
•   Marimba
•   Timpani

Players are allowed to re-audition in October of the Fall semester to get a higher chair placement or re-audition to enter Wind Ensemble.

Symphonic Winds Course & Rehearsals

Rehearsals are Tuesday and Thursday from 2 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. with alternate Fridays from 1 pm. to 2:30 p.m. The Symphonic Winds present two concerts in the spring semester and course credit is available.

Members must enroll in AMUS 154 (if you're in junior division) or AMUS 354 (if you're in upper division).
