"Big Bang" Percussion Concert

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette Percussion Ensemble's “Big Bang” 2018 concert will feature the Indonesian Gamelan, Brazilian Escola de Samba, and Steel Band. The program will also include several concert ensembles, solos, duets, and Latin Jazz selections:

  • Septet by Dwayne Rice
  • Variation No. 5 by Rachmaninoff, arr. for two marimbas
  • Pulsar for solo snare drum and audio by Fransico Perez
  • Calabash by Andy Narell and the Caribbean Jazz Project
  • Don’t You Worry ‘Bout a Thing by Stevie Wonder
  • …and other Steel Band favorites

The School of Music is located at the southeast corner of the McKinley St. and E. St. Mary Blvd intersection. Parking for evening and weekend events is available in the lot on the northwest corner of this intersection. The entrance to the parking lot is on Girard Park Cir.
