Electra

Sunday, March 25, 2018 - 2:00pm to 4:00pm

When triumphant King Agamemnon returned from the Trojan War, his wife Clytemnestra betrayed and murdered him. To save her young brother from slaughter at their mother's hands, the princess Electra had Orestes secreted away under cover of darkness. Now a grown man, the son of Agamemnon returns from exile with a claim to the throne and a plot for revenge. To honor the Greek origins of western drama, the Theatre Program at UL in cooperation with Alpha Psi Omega present Sophocles' masterpiece Electra beneath the night sky at Cypress Lake.
