The North Plan

Saturday, February 18, 2017 - 7:30pm to 9:30pm

The Theatre program of the University of Louisiana's School of Music and Performing Arts present Jason Wells' black comedy The North Plan as the Spring mainstage Theatre production.

After a criminal faction seizes power in Washington, Carlton Berg, a bureaucrat for the State Department, steals the new regime's top-secret kill list. Unfortunately for Carlton, the chase has come to an end in a police station in the Ozarks town of Lodus, Missouri. With a pair of DHS agents closing in to retrieve him and recover the data, Carlton's last hope is in the people around him: an unsympathetic police chief, an ambivalent administrative assistant, and fellow prisoner Tanya Shepke, a motor-mouthed hot mess who's turned herself in for drunk driving and thinks Skynyrd needs to be on the new money.

Performances will be held in Burke Theatre in Burke-Hawthorne Hall. Tickets are free to UL Lafayette faculty, staff, and students with current Cajun Card, and $10 for the general public. Tickets available online.
