Dina Ternullo Melley Adjunct Instructor of DanceAdjunct Instructor of Dance

BFA, The Boston Conservatory

Dina Ternullo Melley received a BFA in dance from the Boston Conservatory and received additional training from the Joffrey School in San Antonio and Gus Giordano in Chicago. Dina has performed master works by José Limón, Paul Taylor, Martha Graham and Donald McKayle and has toured and conducted workshops nationally and internationally with the Boston Liturgical Dance Ensemble. Dina has had the pleasure of both choreographing works for and performing with the Baton Rouge Ballet Theater, Of Moving Colors, the LSU School of Music, the LSU Opera, the LSU Dance Concert, the Arizona State University Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts, and Desert Dance Theatre (AZ). Most recently she reconstructed an original piece, "Solitary Dancer", which was performed for State of LA Danse here at UL Lafayette in collaboration with the UL Lafayette Wind Ensemble. She has also performed with BRBT’s Ballet for Children, AZDance Group, and Colleen Cavanaugh and Dancers. Prior to joining the faculty at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, she has held teaching positions at Boston College, Regis College, as well as numerous dance studios throughout the eastern and southwestern United States, and is currently the Artistic Director of The Dance Guild here at UL Lafayette.
