Allen Carpenter
A native of Pineville, Allen Carpenter is currently a Doctoral Candidate in Tuba Performance at Louisiana State University and Adjunct Professor of Tuba and Euphonium and University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He is frequently sought after as a clinician and adjudicator for All State and various marching band programs. Along with teaching private tuba lessons, he has held several Principal tuba positions with numerous ensembles including Louisiana Philharmonic, Monroe Symphony, Rapides Symphony, Lake Charles Symphony, and Acadiana Symphony Orchestras. Prior to starting his Doctoral Studies, Allen earned a B.M.E in Music Education from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana and his M.M. in Tuba Performance from Louisiana State University.
In addition to his instrumental performance opportunities, Allen is also an avid singer. Allen grew up singing in his home church, Pinehurst Baptist Church in Ball, Louisiana, and sings regularly with the Chapel Choir at St. Albans Episcopal Church in Baton Rouge. Through opportunities in his collegiate studies, Allen has performed in Cathedrals and Churches throughout England, Vienna, Bratislava, and Prague.
