Community Outreach

Theatre

Members of the public and students in other majors are welcome to audition for our theatre productions. We have one major stage production each fall and spring, which occasionally call for older and younger cast members. Please note, however, that anyone who auditions and accepts a role is required to commit to the entire rehearsal and performance schedule. We share audition and performance information for each production leading up to each semester.

Dance

Our Dance Guild offers classes for children and adults to explore different genres of dance and movement. Visit the Dance Guild website for a list of classes and to register.

Anyone with dance experience is welcome to audition for our bi-annual main stage dance performances.

Music Lessons

Young children can take lessons through the School of Music and Performing Arts' Piano Pedagogy Lab Program, which pairs student teachers with children for group and private piano lessons. Contact the music program to enroll your child.

Friends of Music

The Friends of Music is a group of donors and volunteers who work to ensure our students have financial support to complete their music degrees. They hold fundraisers throughout the year, which are open to the public. Learn more about the Friends of Music.

See Us Perform

Throughout the year we have stage plays, student recitals, large concerts, dance productions, Broadway-style shows, operas, faculty recitals, and more. See the breadth of talent we have here in the School of Music and Performing Arts.
