Ragin' Cajun® and Zydeco

Cajun and Zydeco Music Ensembles and All-Star Instructors from UL Lafayette’s Traditional Music Program are playing their semester-end show once again at the Blue Moon Saloon in Lafayette, where you can enjoy a beverage and show your appreciation by dancing. Come out and enjoy our student bands, the Angelle Aces (Cajun) and the Zydeco Ragin' Steppers, followed by an all-star band of instructors.

The Angelle Aces, UL Lafayette’s Cajun band for credit, is comprised of students with a love for Cajun music. The group is directed by Chad Huval, who currently is an accordionist for BeauSoleil avec Michael Doucet.

Next up are the Zydeco Ragin’ Steppers directed by Nathan Williams Jr. (aka Lil Nate), who fronts the band, Lil Nathan and the Zydeco Big Timers. This band will have you up and dancing to some all-time favorite zydeco tunes.

This season’s All-Star faculty band will include Nathan Williams, Jr., Brazos Huval, Kevin Wimmer, Chad Huval, and Sam Broussard. Come enjoy this amazing line-up of musicians and talent on behalf of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s Music Program.
