Kristi Carr

BFA, University of Louisiana at Lafayette
Kristi Carr received her BFA in Choreographic Design/Dance Emphasis from the University of Louisiana Lafayette. Kristi trained as a student at the Alvin Ailey American Dance School and The International Ballet Competition Dance School. She was also on the Faculty at Millennium Dance Complex in Los Angeles and served as the Lead Night manager of Operations. Kristi returned to the Ailey School and the International Ballet Competition Dance School to continue her studies as an Instructor completing the Horton Pedagogy Workshop for Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced levels. In 2006, Kristi joined the faculty as an Adjunct Instructor for UL Lafayette’s Dance Department, where she teaches Modern I and II, Jazz I and II, Hip Hop, and Dance History. Kristi is the founding advisor for UL Lafayette’s Student Organization Infinity Dance Group, which focuses on Hip Hop and was recently named Outstanding Organization Advisor of the year (2021). She is also the founding Advisor of B.A.S.E. at UL Lafayette, a new organization for dance majors and minors.
