Performing Arts Courses

With your curriculum, you have to earn a combined total of 80 credit hours between dance and theatre courses.

Non-Performing Arts Courses

With your curriculum, you must earn a total of 40 credit hours outside of the Performing Arts program.

English

  • ENGL 101 Intro to Academic Writing, 3 credits
  • ENGL 102 Writing & Research About Culture, 3 credits

Communications

  • 3 credit hour elective. Can be chosen from CMCN 100, 101, 202, 203, 212, 302, 310; ENGL 360, 365.

Math

  • MATH 102, 103/104, or 105. The course you take will be determined by your ACT score or placement test results.
  • Sophomore-level MATH course, 3 credits

Sciences

  • 9 credit hours of electives. Must be taken from both biological (BIOL) and physical (CHEM, GEOL, PHYS) sciences.

Literature

  • 3 credit hours of electives. Choose from ENGL 201, 202, 203, 204, 205, 206, 215, 216, a foreign language literature course, or any 300-level literature course.

History

  • 3 credit hours of electives

Behavioral Science

  • 6 credit hours of electives. Must be chosen from anthropology, criminal justice, economics, geography, political science, psychology, or sociology (One course (3 hours) must be at the 200 level or above).
