Transfer Plan

If you wish to transfer into the Performing Arts program Dance concentration, you should complete the University’s transfer process.

Once you have been admitted to the University, your transcript will be evaluated by the Dean’s Office in the College of the Arts in consultation with the Dance faculty. This evaluation will be used to determine which of your transfer courses will fulfill specific program requirements in UL Lafayette’s Dance program.

We also strongly recommend that transfer students attend the admission auditions in the Spring for placement purposes. If you're unable to attend these auditions and are admitted to the University as a transfer student, you will be admitted to the Dance program conditionally, and will have your progress reviewed at the end of your first year. Please be aware that transferring into a BFA program sometimes means that you will be asked to take foundational courses in our program to ensure that you have the required skills to succeed in upper-level major courses. This will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
