UL Lafayette Flute Professor Dr. Andrea Kapell Loewy performed two solos with the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra for the spring season concert in New Iberia at St. Peter’s Church on Feb. 28th. She performed Vivaldi’s sparkling Concerto in G Major, op. 10 and three movements from J. S. Bach’s Suite in B minor, including the famous "Badinerie" that closes the work. Loewy is Principal Flute of the Acadiana Symphony and has been invited to solo with the orchestra several times, most notably last year at the Acadiana Center for the Arts.
