Theatre Program Holds Auditions for Electra by Sophocles

Auditions for Electra, the Spring 2018 semester mainstage Theatre production, will be held on Monday, November 20th beginning at 6:00pm.  This classic tragedy by Sophocles will be performed March 15-18 and 22-25 in an outside performance space on the UL campus.

The Theatre program of the School of Music and Performing Arts will hold auditions on November 20th for Electra by Sophocles, translated by Frank McGuinness. Auditioners should bring a prepared classical monologue (Shakespeare, Moliere, the Greeks, or anything with heightened language). If you sing or play an instrument, please be prepared to offer a short demonstration (vocal auditions are a capella or self-accompanied).

To secure an audition slot for Monday, November 20th, please complete the online audition form and contact production stage manager Maggie Martin for an audition slot, and include your headshot and acting resume (if available).

Callbacks are expected to take place on the same evening, but may also take place the following evening, Tuesday, November 21st. Sides for callbacks will be provided at auditions.

If you have questions, please contact director Carl Granieri.
