UL Symphony Student SoloistsEach year the UL Symphony sponsors a solo competition with the opportunity for winners to solo with the orchestra. A great chance for our students to step out into the spotlight when ready for this type of situation. This year Whitney Applewhite (flute) and Alex Boone (trombone) were selected as soloists. Whitney performed the Jacques Ibert Flute Concerto and Alex performed the Lars-Erik Larsson Concertino for Trombone and Strings.

Pianist Louisa Peng has been selected to perform with the UL Symphony during the 2021–2022 school year. She will perform the Edvard Grieg Piano Concerto.
