Successful routines will incorporate vertical/horizontal two through four turns, toss illusions, toss walkovers, and two and three baton work.

Audition Process
I. PRE-SCREENING - There are two parts to this process. All candidates must begin by filling out the following form (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf-iSY497UEu5DdaAWMaGadXxfD-eStz-Ae6erUaegFAiHcaQ/viewform?usp=sharing). Next, we ask that you include a twirling video (approximately 2-4 minutes in length) that is unedited and done in one continuous take. We strongly recommend that this video include at a minimum the following skills: Vertical/horizontal four turns, toss double illusion, toss double cartwheel and/or walkover, a variety of down-field tricks, intermediate to advanced two and three baton work, dance technique/flexibility, and showmanship. For highest video quality, we recommend uploading the audition video to Youtube as an unlisted video and copying your link into the google form. Prescreening materials for consideration for the 2025-2026 Pride of Acadiana are due by Tuesday, April 1. Materials sent after that date will not be accepted.
- Please Note: All applicants must complete the above requirements and must be accepted to or currently enrolled at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette to be considered for advancement past the pre-screening process.
II. INVITATION- After the completion of the PRE-SCREENING PROCESS by the directors of the band, an email will be sent to selected candidates for an invitation to a live audition. Students selected for a live audition will be notified by April 15, and instructions for the live audition materials will be included in the email.
