Strings

  • Courses for ensemble credit: AMUS 190/390 University Orchestra
  • You can substitute two semesters maximum on a major instrument in AMUS 160/360 Traditional Music Ensemble, AMUS 170/370 Jazz Ensemble, or AMUS 180/380 Jazz Ensemble.

Winds & Brass

  • Courses for ensemble credit: Minimum two semesters each of AMUS 155/355 Wind Ensemble and AMUS 190/390 University Orchestra
  • You can substitute four semesters maximum from AMUS 153/353 Concert Band and AMUS 154/354 Symphonic Band

Percussion

If all the preferred ensembles are full, you will enroll in AMUS 117 Percussion Ensemble
